Welcome! I’m Jenn Lampen, the creative mind behind Synaptic Stitches. I strive to create unique, show stopping brioche knitting patterns to inspire you to fearlessly embrace new challenges and create works of art that highlight your own skill, making you feel like a superhero every time you put them on.
I believe that fear can be used as a form of gatekeeping in the fiber community, with the idea that certain techniques or projects are only for the most advanced knitters being used to stop knitters from trying something new. I want to challenge those ideas and encourage you to KNIT
FEARLESSLY! I believe that any knitter can knit any design with the motivation to learn, access to resources, and a bit of help. That is where I come in! With eye-catching brioche designs that incorporate a range of different techniques, I will inspire your to learn something new. Through clear instruction, classes and tutorials, I am here to support you in any new knitting challenge you choose to take on!
I create designs that will keep you learning and engaged with every stitch! That desire to keep your synapses firing combined with my past career as a neuroscientist lead to the name Synaptic Stitches. My favorite design elements are brioche and cables and I love finding new and creative ways to put stitches together! I hope you will join me in diving into the fun and creativity of brioche knitting!
